Join Harvard Kennedy School’s Center for Public Leadership (CPL) for a live Zoom conversation with Syeda Ghulam Fatima Gilani, General Secretary of Bonded Labour Liberation Front (BLLF) Pakistan, a prominent labor activist freeing bonded laborers in Pakistan. As a continuation of her appearance at CPL in December 2022, Gilani will elaborate on her unique experience achieving social change through labor movement building, and will discuss her work to free bonded and forced laborers while contending with climate disasters, economic instability, and other widespread challenges.

Syeda Ghulam Fatima Gilani has helped free, protect, and financially support more than 85,000 bonded laborers in Pakistan, working toward BLLF’s goal of total eradication of bonded labor and child labor in South Asia.
