The webinar is a joint Lancet Citizens’ Commission on Reimagining India’s Health System event with Population Foundation of India (PFI) and ARTPARK (AI & Robotics Technology Park) at Indian Institute of Science (IISc). The launch of the National Digital Health Mission in 2017 was an important milestone for India. Now called the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), its aim is “to develop the backbone necessary to support the integrated digital health infrastructure of the country. It will bridge the existing gap amongst different stakeholders of the healthcare ecosystem through digital highways.” The panelists will focus on understanding ABDM, its mission, components and plans as well as the challenges in operationalizing it. The webinar provides a unique opportunity to learn from, and interact directly with, leaders involved in shaping critical digital infrastructure and related policy framework for healthcare. As a Citizens’ Commission, we invite the public to participate in the discussion, provide input and engage with the panelists.
