Harvard for Nepal is a university-wide initiative that aims to unite Harvard in response to the earthquake that devastated Nepal in April 2015.
Spearheaded by the Harvard South Asia Institute, we aim to spread awareness about the effects of disasters on the South Asia region, as well as advance and deepen knowledge about disaster relief practices.
The Nepal Research and Reconstruction Fund will provide support for in region projects that are developed in partnership with local organizations, with a focus on Nepal’s long-term reconstruction. The SAI-supported projects will be conducted over the next 2 years.
Areas of focus will be: Public health, Water and sanitation, Reconstruction and conservation of heritage sites.
