Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh
Akhilesh Yadav is currently the Chief Minister of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh is the largest and politically the most significant state of the country. The state has a population of over 210 million people. He has been a three time Member of Parliament and has served on various important committees of the Parliament including Committee on Food, Civil Supplies and Public Distribution; Committee on Science & Technologies, Environment and Forests, Committee on Ethics, Committee on Estimates among others.
He was elected as the youngest Chief Minister of the State of Uttar Pradesh, after he led his party to victory. He is actively and strongly engaged in working for the all round development of rural poor, farmers, youth and workers. He has provided a new direction to the state with several innovative schemes for the youth including his focus on Education, Science and Technology and the Girl Child. His scheme of distribution of laptop computers to the students has been especially significant. His vision is to develop the state to be among the most developed in the country.
He is a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Environment Engineering. He is married and has three children. He loves playing football and is also interested in cricket.
