Arnaaz Ameer is a S.J.D candidate at Harvard Law School. Her doctoral dissertation is focused on exploring post-war reparations, and lessons from private law remedies. Specifically, she explores doctrinal arguments for reconceptualizing reparations mechanisms through insights from international law, private law, and ethics. Arnaaz has studied as a Hans Wilsdorf Scholar at the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights and as a Schwarzman Scholar at Tsinghua University. Previously, she has worked at the Center for Civilians in Conflict (CIVIC), the ICRC’s International Review of the Red Cross, and Harvard’s Program on International Law and Armed Conflict.
