Bennett DiDente Comerford is a doctoral candidate in the Committee on the Study of Religion at Harvard University. His work focuses on the intersections among religion, literature, race and coloniality in nineteenth-century Bengal.

Prior to attending Harvard, Bennett received fellowships for research and language study in Bangladesh and India through the generous support of the American Institute of Indian Studies, the Critical Language Scholarship Program and the Center for Human Rights and International Justice at Boston College.
