Himi Mathur is a Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) candidate at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and her research focus on understanding human oversight mechanism and responsible AI governance standards for AI-enabled clinical decision support systems. Her aim is to translate research into practical governance models that prioritize human capital, ensuring that emerging technologies serve as a scalable and ethical foundation for global development.

Himi brings a decade of cross-continental healthcare experience of providing direct patient care, leading community health programs in rural India to leading high impact healthcare delivery programs in Boston, USA. These experiences forged the question that has driven her research journey – What would health systems look like if we designed them from the start for the people who need them most.
