Ishita Singh (she/her) is an architect from India and a second-year Master of Architecture in Urban Design (MAUD) student at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. She previously worked at RMA Architects in Mumbai on residential projects across South India and as a research assistant at the Charles Correa Foundation in Goa. More recently, she was a summer fellow with the New York City Housing Authority working on open-space projects across public housing developments, focused on community engagement, resident capacity building, and stewardship.
At the GSD, her work focuses on inclusive urban form and governance, and on how data and digital tools can support more accessible and responsive cities. She has also been involved with the Urban AI team, which explores the role of emerging technologies in urban development. Her current research examines how urban form, land, and governance shape planned cities in the Global South, with a particular focus on Chandigarh, where she is from, and its fragmented metropolitan region, exploring how migration, real estate development, and ecological change have shaped its periphery.
