KP Balaraj is the founder of KPB Trust (www.kpbfamilytrust.com), a family office investment company. He was a co-founder and Managing Director of WestBridge Capital, and co-led the firm from inception for close to 20 years.  Earlier, KP was part of Goldman Sachs where he focused on private equity in Asia.  He received an MBA from Harvard Business School in Boston, and a BSc in Business Management from BYU Hawaii, where he graduated as valedictorian of his class.  KP also serves on the HBS India/South Asia Board, the HBS BiGS Institute, and Babson College boards.

KP is a former top ranked national tennis player, having represented India at the international level. He is an active promoter of Karnataka State Lawn Tennis Association’s (KSLTA) efforts to promote international tennis in Bangalore, including sponsoring the annual Women’s ITF event, which attracts top women tennis players from over 20 countries and many of the top Indian women’s tennis athletes.  He was also selected as part of the Honourable PM Modi’s distinguished “Champions of Change”, and was honoured for his contributions to the growth of the venture capital and the start-up industry in India.
