Madhumathi Kalidoss completed a PhD from Indian Institute of Technology Madras under Prof. T.S. Sampath Kumar, Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering with a field of specialization in Biomaterials. Her PhD work involved developing local drug delivery systems for treatment of periodontal infections using calcium phosphate bioceramic nanoparticles. She will be working under Prof. Muhammed Zaman, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Boston University. She will use this fellowship to her broaden research area and equip herself with new skill sets.
