Manager Singh is the Director General of the National Research Laboratory for Conservation (NRLC), Lucknow. Previously he was Professor and Head of the Department of Conservation, National Museum Institute of the History of Art, Conservation and Museology, New Delhi. He was a Superintending Archaeological Chemist at the Archaeological Survey of India from 1990-2015. He has published extensive research papers in the field of scientific studies of conservation of heritage and antiquities, including the study of pigments, metallurgy, stone, and architecture.
