Mitul Iyengar, from Pune, India, is a Master’s in Design Engineering candidate at Harvard University, where her research focuses on advancing equitable systems in South Asia through the integration of technology, data, and design thinking. Her current research interests include the investigation of systemic drivers of early and often medically unnecessary hysterectomies in rural India.

Drawing on experience in strategic design and digital product development, she uses participatory methods to translate complex social and environmental challenges into actionable, community-driven solutions. Mitul’s interdisciplinary approach blends creative problem-solving with data analysis to design systems, experiences, and products to drive sustainable impact across health, sustainability, and social equity in South Asia.
