Priyamvada Gannavarapu, originally from India, is an architect currently pursuing a Master of Architecture in Urban Design at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. As a designer, she is dedicated to exploring the dynamics of sustainable urban development in the context of globalization. Her research delves into the morphology and transformation of traditional Indian cities and how contemporary urbanization impacts their identity.  She believes in the power of design to foster equitable cities and aspires to contribute and advocate for sustainable practices that preserve cultural, ecological, and social heritage while addressing challenges of modern urbanization, with the goal of creating sustainable and resilient cities of the future.
