Rahul Gupta is a 2021 and 2020 Senior Fellow and 2019 Fellow, Harvard University, Advanced Leadership Initiative and Chairman, J. C. Flowers Asset Reconstruction, India; Member of the Board of Directors, Ambit, a leading Investment Bank in India. Rahul’s mission is a malaria-free India, and then the world, through the development of healthy housing strategies to complement the current core malaria interventions of insecticidal bed nets and indoor residual spraying.
Prior to his fellowship at Harvard, Rahul was a career banker for over three decades across all major Asian economies, India, Singapore and Japan. Rahul was Co-Group Chief Executive Officer, Ambit and Senior Advisor, Oliver Wyman, a global management consulting firm; Member of the Board of Directors, Senior Managing Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, Shinsei Bank, Japan. He has served as Managing Director and Group Financial Controller, DBS Bank, Head Office, Singapore and Chief Controller – Asia, Deutsche Bank AG, Asia Pacific Head Office, Singapore and Chief Controller – India, Deutsche Bank AG, India. He has also held leadership positions at both, HSBC and Société Générale, India.
