Regional Advisory Council

The Mittal Institute connects Harvard with India and South Asia. With over two billion people facing shared challenges and opportunities, India and the wider region offer unique opportunities for interdisciplinary research, capacity building, and informing policy across a wide range of fields. The Institute works with faculty members, students, and in-region institutions and experts to advance and deepen the understanding of critical issues, locally and globally.

Harvard University has a longstanding commitment to India and the region. The Mittal Institute serves as the University’s premier center on regional studies, cross-disciplinary research, and innovative programming pertaining to South Asia.

The Lakshmi Mittal and Family South Asia Institute Regional Advisory Council is a team of distinguished volunteer leaders providing strategic counsel and support in India and across the wider region. To enrich the diversity of perspectives, more members shall be added in the near future.
