Research Grants

As a result of COVID-19, Harvard University has enacted distinct policies for vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers, including travel related to student grants. You can find details on the University travel policy here; please note that vaccinated travelers to CDC Level 4 countries will need to upload a waiver from OVPIA, and unvaccinated travelers will need an OVPIA waiver for any travel. Please ensure that your proposal details how your project abides by the Harvard’s travel policies. Additionally, for the winter session, LMSAI will also consider virtual grant proposals. If you have any questions, please contact Selmon Rafey, Program Coordinator, at srafey@fas.harvard.edu.

Research grants are awarded to students pursuing research on specific topics that could contribute to a thesis or dissertation or if the applicant has done preliminary work on the topic. Individual independent research will be considered if the above requirements are fulfilled. Winter research should be around 3 weeks.
