Pakistani music icon and social activist, Shehzad Roy will talk about his new documentary series titled “Chal Parha.”The show dramatizes Roy’s journey to schools across Pakistan and stages and expose of Pakistan’s national education system. Roy will share how his music has helped him advocate for education reform and will expand upon some of the key lessons he has learnt from his journey across Pakistan’s schools. The conversation will be led by Professor Ali Asani, Professor of Indo-Muslim and Islamic Religion and Cultures and Director of the Alwaleed Islamic Studies Program at Harvard, and Mariam Chughtai, doctoral candidate at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

The evening will close with an intimate performance by Roy of some of the audience’s most requested songs.
