Alex is the Communications Manager of the Lakshmi Mittal and Family South Asia Institute at Harvard University, where she oversees its communications strategy and audience outreach. She publicizes and promotes the Institute’s research, programs, and events to increase local and global awareness, and manages the Institute’s website, newsletter, and social media. Alex engages with faculty and other members of the Harvard community to build stories and content about the Institute’s work for all of its platforms.
Prior to her position at Harvard, Alex worked in editing and branding strategy for major national and multinational brands. She most recently served as a Senior Editor for the International Affairs Forum — a publication that provides scholarly analysis of international issues and events — where she had the opportunity to interview officials of the United Nations and European Union. She has also worked at the Council on Foreign Relations, where she helped organize events featuring diplomatic speakers, including the Prime Minister of India, the Prime Minister of Japan, the Emir of Qatar, and more.
Alex has a MS in Global Studies and International Relations with a focus in Conflict Resolution from Northeastern University and a BA in International Relations with a focus in Foreign Policy and Security from Boston University. Her regional specializations include South Asia, the Middle East, and Northern Africa.
