The Mittal Institute, in collaboration with the National Foundation for India, invites you for Dinner and Cultural Evening exploring the deep connection between Indian heritage and climate resilience through art, architecture, and cuisine. This evening is being organized on the sidelines of the climate convening ‘India 2047.’

Date: Friday, March 21, 2025
Time: 6:30 – 9:30 pm IST
Venue: Margosa Lawn, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi

Experience the grace of Kuchipudi, as Lalitha Sindhuri Yarasuri, Fulbright-Nehru alumni, brings to life themes of nature and its elements through this classical dance form. It is an ode to health, harmony, and the wisdom of nature, reminding us to nurture our inner selves and embrace life’s rhythm.

The performance will be followed by Earth to Supper, the dinner thoughtfully curated by Biraj Patnaik, featuring a menu that uses only millets—climate-resilient grains. Millets are the long-forgotten foods of India, once preserved and consumed mostly by indigenous and rural communities, that play a vital role in securing the future of food in an era of changing climates.

The evening will also highlight the exhibition on India’s stepwells—architectural marvels that combat heat stress and water scarcity—by documentary photographer Claudio Cambon, featuring works from his newly published book, To Reach the Source: The Stepwells of India.

We look forward to your presence at this evening of artistic expression, cultural exchange, and culinary discovery.
