The Lakshmi Mittal & Family South Asia Institute (Mittal Institute) at Harvard University is co-hosting an exhibition with the American Centre in New Delhi, titled “Interwoven Ecosystems”, featuring Dhara Mehrotra and Paribartana Mohanty, two alumni of the Visiting Artist Fellowship (VAF) program. The Visiting Artist Fellowship – a unique opportunity for mid-career visual artists from around South Asia to spend eight weeks on the Harvard campus – has now hosted more than two dozen artists from India, Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh. The exhibition, ‘Interwoven Ecosystems’ is an effort to provide continued support for former visiting artists.

The exhibition will be launched on 2nd August 2024, at 3:30 PM IST  (preceded by high tea at 3:00 PM IST)

This exhibition presents the works of two young artists, Dhara Mehrotra and Paribartana Mohanty, whose experience through this fellowship has furthered their creative studies. This exhibition explores the interconnectedness of environmental and human well-being, how ecological degradation directly impacts our well-being, and stresses the importance of holistic approaches to addressing these challenges.
