Please join us for the launch of our new exhibit featuring Mittal Institute Visiting Artist Fellow Saurav Ghimire.
The exhibit opening will start with a screening of Saurav Ghimire’s 17-minute film “Songs of Love and Hate,” which will mark its premiere in the US. Then, Saurav will be in conversation with Vishal Khandelwal, Assistant Professor of History of Art and Architecture at Harvard University.
The talk will be followed by a reception with regional snacks and beverages.
About Saurav Ghimire: Saurav is a Nepali filmmaker with a Master’s in Film Direction. His second short film, Songs of Love and Hate (17 mins, Nepal-Belgium), had its world premiere at the Berlinale Generation 14plus competition where it was awarded Special Jury Mention. His first short film, Barking Dogs (14 mins, Nepal), was awarded Best Experimental Film at the Tasveer South Asian Film Festival (USA) and Best Student Film at the Pame Film Festival (Nepal). He has also attended training programs including the Locarno Basecamp Academy, the Odense Talent Camp, and the Fantastic Film School BIFAN.
