This week, the Mittal Institute along with the Department of South Asian Studies gathered over 20 representatives from the many (and growing!) South Asian student groups at Harvard to discuss how to strengthen ties and develop new collaborations.
Attendees represented a wide range of groups, from regional representation to cultural associations, such as Harvard Ghungroo, Dharma or Bhangra. There were also representatives from groups at various professional schools, including the South Asian Student Association at Harvard T.H. Chan and the South Asian Law Students Association (SALSA) at Harvard Law School. Participants also represented South Asian-wide groups such as the South Asian Association and South Asian Women’s Collective.
The Mittal Institute has been focusing on strengthening ties with student groups on campus and has been hosting a regular meeting with new representatives each year.
