The annual student-led India Conference at Harvard returned to campus for its 21st year on February 17 and 18. The conference featured speakers from India as well as our very own Mittal Institute affiliates, including Faculty Director Tarun Khanna, Executive Director Hitesh Hathi, and Steering Committee Member Asim Khwaja.
“Over 1,000 students, professionals, and esteemed faculty came together to delve into the theme of ‘India Rising’, exploring India’s narrative of growth, progress, and potential as an emerging global powerhouse,” wrote the organizers on their LinkedIn page. “More than 30 sessions cutting across diverse themes including business, entrepreneurship, economics, politics, culture, and investing, provided an invaluable platform for robust discussions. Speakers and attendees from India, the UK, Japan, and across the United States, enriched the dialogue with their diverse perspectives.”
“The first day commenced at the Harvard Kennedy School with Dean Douglas Elmendorf’s inspiring opening remarks, followed by a series of thought-provoking panels, including discussions on the Indian Securities Market, India’s Economic Trajectory, Public Services, Public Sector Innovation, Sustainable Manufacturing, Digital Public Infrastructure, US-India Relations, and Gender and Allyship. The enthusiasm continued on the second day at the Harvard Business School, with panels addressing domains such as SaaS, Fintech, Consumer Entrepreneurship, Venture Capital, Real Estate, Climate Financing, Bollywood, and Opportunities for Returning to India.”
“Beyond the enriching sessions, the conference facilitated opportunities for networking, with ‘know-your-speaker’ breakfasts, ‘lunch-and-learn’ sessions, and a closing networking mixer, enabling attendees to foster meaningful connections.” Follow the Harvard India Conference on LinkedIn.
