The Mittal Institute invites Harvard faculty from across the university to apply for funding for research related to any of the countries we work with in South Asia: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, and/or Sri Lanka.

Funding is available for exploratory or advanced research projects:

Exploratory research projects are new projects in the initial stages of planning and development, aiming to bring together like-minded scholars from beyond Harvard and from the region to develop new areas of research.

Advanced research projects are for Harvard faculty who seek to turn their ongoing, original research or projects into a defined outcome, including but not limited to a publication, policy recommendations, peer-reviewed journal articles, course curriculum, and more.

This opportunity is open to all Harvard University faculty members

Applications are due on December 13, 2024.
