Pakistan Fellowships

The South Asia Institute will offers several opportunities for scholars and practitioners to continue their research at Harvard University.

Eligibility:

In order to be eligible for these opportunities the applicant must be committed to return to Pakistan upon completion of the fellowship. All applicants 1)must be employed full time in Pakistan or, if not currently employed full time, must demonstrate a prior educational history that has taken place largely, but not necessarily entirely, in Pakistan, or are planning to pursue work in Pakistan and 2) All applicants will be expected to return to Pakistan upon completion of the fellowship. Applicants who hold completed PhDs, are in the final stages of their PhDs, or hold advanced professional degrees are invited to apply.

*Applicants with a focus in these areas are encouraged to apply for the Aman Fellowship.

Babar Ali Fellowship

The Fellowship Grant:

  • Each fellowship will cover a 1 month period over the academic year.
  • Fellows will be provided access to the libraries and resources of Harvard University.

Responsibilities of Fellows: Residence in the Cambridge/Boston area and participation in SAI activities are required during the appointment. Fellows will be expected to present through the SAI Seminar Series.
